ive got a piper bp270h cam in my hybrid 1.4sr, obviously the timing figures are different, i put the top cog (one on the cam) to two teeth behind tdc (anti clockwise) and i cud then turn the engine by hand (block lined up exactly to tdc)
so i presummed it is in time.

but i want to know that its 100%, i know i wud nprob need a vernier pully. but cud anyone tell me how many degrees from the tdc mark on the cam pulley it should be???

cheers

john

ps gutted i cudnt attend pvs, pictures look great and soundz like u guys had fukin brilliant time, i wil be there next year definatly!

Miles away.

for starters the base circle is different on the cam giving a different rocker geometry which can be corrected, then who says that timing it to LCA figures gives best performance in every engine, it all needs sorting on dyno.

Youve successfully lined the dots but by the stack up of tolerances could easily be 8 deg out either way.

In fact ive one on the dyno this week for that reason alone
