Anyone run, if so post your car and time :)
Denny Standard GTE no seats 16.2
was a bit dissapointed with my 15.5, should have been quicker.
bit more tweaking on the rolling road i think.
nearly didn't get a run though... had to wait till 4 to get bloody tickets..all those cheeky arses that have ten or so bloody runs....!
Anyway... I'm setting up a r/r day in a few sats time at novatech in slough... need 15 people will be about 20 quid each so anyone intrested please contact me! cheers.
Best I ran was a 15.1 I was a little disapointed until I realised that one of the sprung bolts on my downpipe had fallen out and the exhaust is very loose and blowing a bit!!!

My best run was 15.2, again alitle bit dissapointed.
Have to get it chipped, and remove the sub etc next time!
Was happy with my reaction time though - 0.3
my quickest time was 15.075, dunno what speed as denny has got my slips. I was a bit disappointed but dont know why it was that slow? Usually i run 14.6 / 14.7 at york. Maybe because i was still pissed/hungover or the heat wasnt good on the car. Anyway thats enough moaning abt that well done to denny for beating his PB.

who's was the red nova with black wheels that ran a 12.8, it was only running 0.8seconds slower than the twin engine one. :o

I know it was a Let with NOS looked like damn big Jets as well, mores the point who's was the imperial blue turbo (not Mark Besson's) the one with the scottich flag on the aerial, it was quick!
the red one was running 305bhp including nitro, we were chatting to him

Well as you say,it was some scotish bloke,was talking to him and his mate who had a white GTE with a let in..
That blue one was a EX with race head and tuned to 210bhp then it had !00bhp of NOS.... :o
he said it was the fastest front wheel drive car in scotland....

was my first ever run on a drag strip. thouroughly enjoyed it! was in my saloon that i got last weekend then putt engine in after work last week.
it was the sh!t 3 door saloon on standard suspension.
did a 14.8_________14.5________14.3.
that a decent time??
couldn't beat my best time. but i got 16.1 twice and out of 6 runs my worst was 16.3. 1400 + t40s
the red one that did a 12.8 was a standardish let with 75bhp of nitrous and stripped out.

Couldn't get a ticket till goddamn 4.00 they kept running out. Didn't get to see any of the show at all.
They should have done a waiting list so when more tickets came in they would be handed out in order, it was just luck if you happened to be in the signing in office at the right time which is crap.
Was almost worth the wait though I got to spank a focus RS up the strip, he got 14.5 @ 96mph
I got 14.1 @ 101mph haha made my day
The red nova on black 17's that got 12.8 was a turbo'd XE 210/220 conv. with 100 jets etc he'd spent 15k though..

When I had my standard GSi lump in I ran a 16.2 quarter with 16's and full interior on several occasions so it sounds pretty standard to me!!

yep that is the ugly mofo. every 1 was point in and laughin, i couldnt do owt but gigge!! :lol: :P
only built it for sommet to do, didnt expect it to do 14.3 though.
I ran 2 one hundredths of a second slower than at the shootout a couple of weeks back, got a new record for 0-60ft time tho of 2.19 secs but was not my quickest run,
quickest run, 14.56 @ 94.54 mph,
Heard quite a few people in the stand moaning about nova's ruling the strip, :lol:
Novas should rule the strip cos they rule the roads! :lol:
