I've got a '92 k 1.2i and the brakes are standard (i.e. crap) which decent ones would bolt straight on? Or are uprated disks and pads a better option?
If I uprate the disks will I need to uprate the servo?

if you only have 13" wheels then just give them a good service and grease... the 1.2i ones aren't too bad cause they are the ate design.... if you have bigger wheels then get some 16v stuff

16V should fit under 14" and above wheels, i think the wheels need to be 5.5J or above.

16V should fit under 14" and above wheels, i think the wheels need to be 5.5J or above.

depends entirely on the wheel make/design. the 256mm ATE stuff (16v) DOES NOT fit under Nova GTE/GSi wheels with new pads and discs, would need quite a bit of wear. (i know because I tried today lol). even if they were 5.5j it still wouldn't do.

Though common sense dictates they will fit under Astra GTE wheels, and 14" cav wheels.

I know this means bugger all to you as you got 15" astra wheels but thought I'd mention it to anyone reading.

So with my current alloys which brakes can I use then?

As derek said logic says that brakes from an Astra GSI are going to fit under Astra GSI wheels. So yes you can fit 16v brakes as that what car they came off.

Do I just swap the disks straight over? Do I need to do anything else?

How much do these normally go for? Would it be a good idea to uprate the servo or have braided hoses?
