 thats the cheapest ive got so far off HIC, tried some other companies-LV, CIS, Adrian Flux and they all said no coz ive been banned in the last 5 years  . My insurance has shot up ?1000 since being banned and before i was fully comp aswell this is only TPFT and limited milage. Any1 know any other good comps that will insure people that have been banned in the last five years?

im 19 n i got banned for dangerous drivin (cant remember the code) for 12 months. My ban finishes on 25th july so i thort id ring round and see how much my insurance will be. My car will have a lot of mods soon which i named- alloys, bodykit, lowered, tinted windows, cat 1 alarm and immob, bb exhaust, twin headlights, and a flushed boot, but it still sounds a tad on the expensive side for TPFT. I was thinkin in the ?1200-?1500 price range.

tom dude; give the 'convicted drivers' insurers a call. not one of the companies you mentioned were specialising in convicted drivers. so give one of them a toot.

Agreed. Your own fault for getting banned in the first place. You can't have your cake and eat it.

For a start you should be more interested in building up a no claims again, so forget modifications for a few years as this is only a reason for police to target you. It'll probably also drop you down another few hundred at least.

Go on someone else insurance, drive safely a year and then it may come down to normal.

Tesco wont Insure Modded motors any more, They have gone for a no mod policy, since start of april i think. But if u have a exisiting policy with them i think they let u stay with them until u decide to leave. All new policys now i got told cannot have any mods on them thats from someone at tescos insuance.
