Rite,
I'm new on here and im from good old nothern Ireland. I'm modifying my Nova 1.2i and was wonderin wat all u experts thought about my choices and if you had any tips on things.

Momo f-16 Evo Gear Knob
Racing x4 Alu and blue leather wheel
Retrimmed seats, boot and door pods in blue (any idea how to do door pods?)
Resprayed blue dash and facia
Alu console
Momo Handbrake Blue Leather
Blue leather gaiters
Lockwood White Dials
Blue interior neon spotters
Green Cotton Induction Kit
Ecotek valve and filter
AND THE BIG TALKING POINT: Delta 1 full body kit and spoiler

Tell me if you have any experiences/tips on all these, and if you think they are complete shite (which is likely)

Cheers

Firstly welcome to Novaload mate,
as Epo said the Delta kit costs major money, talking like ?700, there is no way i would pay that for some bits of plastic. I have seen the full kits go on Ebay for ?250, but i don't personally like them, they are a bit "big" if you know what i mean.OTT
But thats just my view, and as Epo also said, they are very hard to fit, a few people have said they required loads of modding to fit their car, yet others said that it went on pretty good. Just depends how good the mould you get is.
I would recommend trying to pick one up second hand that had already been fitted to a Nova and so should fit yours without too much trouble. And will save you money.
The rest of your ideas are sound though mate, should be good :+:

All that on a 1.2?!?!

Go smooth or standard and spend the saved money on engine and handling and chassis.

Door pods are relatively easy to do as long as you have some MDF, a jigsaw and filler to smooth it all off with! :)

cheers for that lads. I've decided the Delta Kit is too extreme and a f***in rip off so I'm just goin for a Novadose kit. Epo, My sister's boyfriends mum (phew) is trimming all of my seats in blue so should look minted. Cheers for the feedback lads,

There's always kits on ebay for sale.

y not? u can always do an engine swap later on fairly easily, like i will be doin in a few months, just cos its a 1.2 dont mean it has to be a wrecker it can have the best of both worlds after an engine change.

I know, I have a 1.2 shell......but I went for all the handling and brakes and stuff first then put a motor in.

I just think it's unfair on those with a looker of a car that don't really go very well, and my confesion is that I have a decent car that goes very well and all round good for about ?900, although if i had paid a garage the labour bill would be through the roof!

I have only ever paid one garage bill and that's cos I went on holiday and had to have the car MOTed when I got back, but it was my mate who did it and got it really cheap cos he did it in spare time at work so I paid for the parts and poss 2hours work on about 6 hours work.

sounds like some good plans mate, i think he is concentrating on the interior and exterior rather than the engine, suspension, brakes etc.. cus in ireland insurance is soooo expensive and thats compared to england....

I would have thought that the brakes and suspension, wheels stuff like that you could argue with the insurance to bring it down a bit as it has less of a risk factor as it can stop quicker, handle better etc.

yeah but they cud argue if u can brake better u will go faster and handle means u cud push it more round corners
