1.4 sr block, de-coked, 1.2 head - de coked n slightly poted and polished. piper road race cam, with piper lifters n tappets. k&n filter, 4 branch manifold, strait thro system with custom back box (designed for 1.4sr nova) weber 32/34 carb (which will get set up correctly when i rolling road the whole thing once its done) coupled to a f10cr box (4.18) :-)

what can i expect? ive been tolod quite a nippy little nova.... and a nice change form my 1.2.

bhp wise, a guy witht he same set-up minus 4 branch and cam was running 90bhp at the wheels rr'd when using optimax...

cheers

90bhp sounds about right. By 'hybrid' you didn't mean hybrid turbo then?

hybrid:

The offspring of the union of two distinct species; eg. an animal or plant produced from the mixture of two species.

hybrid in this scenario = 1.4block + 1.2 Head.

your mate wud have been running 90 at the flywheel

i ran 86bhp with the following:

1389cc OHC engine, Stripped right down and cleaned throughout, Head de-coked, re-worked, ported and skimmed, Piper 275 degree cam, Weber 32/34 DTML carb and modified manifold, K&N air Filter, 1.6 GSI manifold and down pipe and Piper 1.4 SRi full system.

that was with the 1.4 head and the 86bhp was a proper true reading. as an upgrade from a 1.2 you will love it trust me i did!!

90-95bhp is no unrealistic at all

good luck and post some figures and pics when you have them

I'm running a 1.4 block, 1.2 head (lightly polished), 1.3 inlet Bored out to take a weber 32/34, weber 32/34 carb, k&n and gsi manifold, downpipe and magnex stainless zorst.

Be4 the gsi manifold and magnex zorst i had it rr'ed at 90BHP.
