fiesta RS turbo
CLio 16valve
CRX Vtec
R5gtturbo

bearing on mind, Handling, acceleration, looks, tunabilty, eveyday use etc...............

im thinking
clio = nice looking, but a bit unreliable maybe?? not that many tuning bits..
RS= nice looking, good alrounder, pretty tunable , 2.2 16valve Zetec turbo anyone!!
CRX = great high reving engine, most reliable of the bunch??
R5gttubo = power to weight madness! sounds good, tad unrelaible wen tuned up, either like the like or hate the looks i guess!

a mate is lookin to buy one of these , an eventually tune it, im thinkin he should go for the RS an go for a 2.2 zetec turbs.........
but thats just me..........

Festa - whats the point in getting a fiesta RS turbo then sticking a different lump in it :? ? might as well get any other one other than an RST.

R5 - dated engines, French....nuff said

Clio - French....nuff said

CRX - Great engines...(depending which one you get though)...but ugly as F uck.

If I had to choose outta them bunch I'd prob go for...FRST...don't see many about...and I would spend abit on getting engine done first off so it don't go bang

I'd opt for the clio 16v personally. There pretty rapid as standard, 0-60 in 7.7 is not to be sniffed at. French reliability is not the best, however it will be more reliable than your average renault5, and with it being n/a I guess more reliable than the fiesta RST as well.

The clio 16v is a gorgous and understated car IMO, those bulging arches are sublime, and its easily the best looking car out of the bunch. Get one with leather interior and youre laughing. Also, a good 16v will set you back less than your comparatively overpriced fiesta/renault 5.

the clio is also only group 12 insurance, and I believe the others are around 15 but dont quote me on that.

failing that a vti would do nicely

My pug-loving friend had a mint one of those... had it for three months, ragged the crap out of it and eventually cartwheeled it thru a hedge

What about Pulsar/Sunny GTiR?

I'd say Renault 5 GT Turbo or a Fiesta RS Turbo/XR2i. Clios (mainly the mk2's) are womans cars.

Some how i find that hard to believe, and another thing i find hard to believe is that french cars are even considered as a "top hatch" . Ok some of them might be quite fast but that doesnt mean s**t when its on your drive spraying oil an bits of engine everywhere, and the fact that camp men seeing you drive past go mmmmmmmm i want a piece of him. Just not worth it. Plus well set up nova can out handle, and perform any of the following.

lol, you was moaning that yours sprays petrol everywhere!
and the same can be said for most hatches, if you spend a fortune on any car its gonna outhandle/perform a standard hatch!

lol at burberry bloke, clio maybe a girls car, but an xr2 is a chavs car
