Clutch

Driving home from work and my clutch went. The pedal is right at the back. It felt like something snapped when it happened is it the clutch or just a cable. Any ideas?

Sounds like the cable snapped.

Is this easy to fix? How much will this cost?

You should be able to fit the cable yourself with a Haynes manual, you can get the cable from any motor factors place, or brand new ones are going on Ebay for about ?5. But you will have to wait for the cable to be delivered off Ebay, no good if you need your car for work etc.

How much dya reckon it would be at a garage like Hi-Q? Will it damage the engine if I get it towed to the garage or whatever

just knock it out of gear and it will be fine when towing etc

i baught a clutch cable yestarday from motorfactors for about a tenner since the old one looked a bit knackered when i took the engine out
