if you can do then it will be interesting but no idea if it would be worth it.

Should be possible with the right mods and the right people doing it.

I aint expecting 180+mph and 0-60 in 5 secs lol just want it to be different.

Should catch some attention at shows.

the amount u would spend doing it you could get a LET and tune it to 250BHP

If we all thought like that, we'd all be driving 2.0 LET's. The whole point of doing this is to be different, regardless of how much money is involved.

I agree with Jim. Thats the main reason for it. And To beat larger cars off the lights and tell em its a 1.2

a rebuild to make a 1.2 bottom end capable of running NA power of approx 120bhp is around ?1000 + a bit lol

plua a minimum of ?100 for nos, but to do it right is around ?200

supercharger ?150 + bits

+ chassis improvements such as brakes and suspension etc

looking at about ?5K for a project like that if you can manage the budget well.

id suggest a 1.4 would be a better point to go for with those mods in mind

surely the 1200 bottom end is gonna be just as strong as 1600?

same bearings and conrods as both the 1400 and 1200 engines according to EPC, and a similar crank would imply it could happily handle 150bhp just like the 1.6 can?

and what standard bottom end is dan running his 1.6 on? lol

you need to do basic but relatively expensive work to the bottom end to allow for revving etc

5k aint too bad I was expecting worse from some peoples reaction. I fink its a good project to do and very different.

Would anybody guess the approximate BHP and Top Speed Figures?

What Gearbox would be best to mate with the engine?
