ive just looked at the castle coombe website and there is an action day on the 12th of this month. is this where you can run what you brung. if so is anyone goin cos ill deffo be there.

its 30 quid for 5 laps if you pay on the day now. and 10 quid to get in

ill start a list of people going as we may be able to meet there. would be good to see some of the cars on here for real rather than on here all the time.

Well we made it back! Just. M.D's car flew round the track (nice to meet you mate), your car looked top and sounded awesome (2.0 8v on carbs).

I had a top session, lots of sideways action :lol: as you do. Car felt good as it was my first proper track experience since the diff was fitted.

But by far the best experience of the day for me was a Nova coming off the last corner before the pit striaght alongside a M3 CSL! We were standing halfway along the striaght and for anyone who's heard a CSL on full flight.... its Awesome, but this Nova was packing a highly modded XE on TB's! WOW what a noise!!! The BMW and Nova were neck a neck all the way down the straight (Previously nothing was able to touch this M3, it was killing everything)... But it was only on the brakes down at Quarry corner the M3 had the Nova! It was an Awesome site, and a noise i'll not be forgetting in a long while!!!!

was that the nova that looked like a standard GTE (ish from the outside) but went like a twat. was entertaining to watch.

i loved the whole day. good too se ya too mate. your car sounded awsome on the track.

Yeah it was the maroon (can't spell) GTE with dark rims on it. it was flying! :o

i saw that nova pushing a r23 golf all the way round the track. its a beast and was loud a hell. very subtle

Ian, Its not at all like that. A few years ago maybe, but now its very well marshalled. On Saturday there were hardly any standard cars, virtually all we're track day machines. They are now very strict about where you can and can't over take and there is now less cars on the track in each session. it is very safe!!! A lot safer than driving on the road thats for sure. In the last 3 years of going I have never seen a car hit another. (just a few people going to fast into Quarry corner and stacking it... but thats there own fault.) :D
