I've got a Nova SR 1.3L (A reg). Its in mint cond. Its basic SR stuff and I dont wanna spend all my dough on all of the stuff all u guyz av. So I was gonna wait till i'm 18, get a loan for ?3500 and then buy a already kitted Nova and keep this as a pooey standard one. Or shall i sell it now and get a 1L 2 get sum cash saved 4 the down payment? Is it worth doin all that on a A reg though? My headz spinned mate! im 17 now and am 18 next may so if u can help me plz reply 2 this. Thanx a lot....

P.s its comin 2 Winter shall i flog it b4 then coz it might not start then???

To be honest with you mate, I'd keep the Nova that you have and modify this one. If it's in Mint condition, i.e Bodywork, engine etc, you'd be daft to sell it. If you're gonna get a loan for that sort of cash, spend the money wisely on mods for the engine if you want it to go quicker. You can get your car looking like a new shape nova with that sort of money and still have cash left over for an interior transplant. It might take a while, but I think you'd appreciate all the hard work you've put in. Plus you get to customise your car, rather than buy something that someone eles has worked on.
It's your choice at the end of the day, but personnaly I'd want to work on the original car and get myself a one of a kind nova.

i never like the idea of buying a done up car, if u spend 3.5k on a nova its probably gonna be a really good car but already kitted and the engine modded but that leaves u with nothing to do to it yourself really...kinda think its a bit boring and easy that way :D

im in a similar situation mate, im 18 in dec and currently own a 1.0L. best thing to do is build up a years no claims, then flog it, then get an SR which is what im doin and workin on myself. Luckily i got two vauxhall technicians and a stylin specialist on eventuall standby so im sorted, but keep it if its all cushty. A is a bit old though, still you gotta start somewhere

If its in good condition keep it... regardless of the "A REG" Stigma it has going... Just face lift the front end Cheap way to make it look new. ... MOD IT a bit, or a lot... you know... whatever...
And then if you got any of that 3 grand loan left over buy a private plate starting with the letter A... Instant koolness.
