alternator/starter motor help

can any one please help.

i have a gsi j-plate

what wires go to where on the starter motor and alternator.

something aint right.
i turn the key and the digi dash does not go on, i then turn the key and it goes on when the car should be starting.
i have no doubt i have wired it up wrong. looked in the haynes manual for pics but no joy.

Dunno but sounds to me more like the wiring at the ignition barrel's wrong

can you check how they are wired on your gte. may be the same may not :?

loom was taken out ages ago denny, as some one was ment to be picking the engine up!

LMFAO ohh yeah i fotgot about that lol

well it is shorting out some where too.
the 20 amp fuse is blowing on turn of switch to the digi dash
the 10 amp fuse to the indacators is blowing on turn of key too.



GIVEN UP!

auto-electrician is coming on tuesday.
i hate electrics.
car HAS to be mobile for pv next week
