in AMP or Headunit??

hay,

ive jus bin and brought sum Kenwood 5? door speakers, but i dont know wot wud be best. wired into my amp (2 channel, already running a sub) or into the back of my headunit.

what do you rekon would be best???

If you have a 2ch amp running a sub then there is no more channels for speakers. As the sub takes 2channels.
So you will have to run them from the HU

plus if you the sub will be taking all the power from the amp, if you run 2 sets of speakers off one channel, the danger are that you will get poor sound quality for a start.

asuming the amp is designed for the sub (i would think it is either a cheap amp or a mono bloc) then the amp is not designed for the 5" 2 ways. so again, poor sound and prob blow them (if a mono bloc)

the amp ive got is a phoenix gold QX2180 180w

would it be best to get a mono amp and run the sub off that, then use the amp ive got to run my speakers?
