I have seen some on G-plates. Dont think there is much difference in performance. I went from 1.3 to 1.4 and it wasnt worth the hastle

I think the earliest 1.4Sr were 1989-G reg, although the earliest i have seen is H reg.

Most G plates were registered on the 31st December 1989, so really 1990.

my 1.4 was on a H plate, think that they have a little more torque, and possibly more tuning potential.

Earliest I have seen is on a G plate

when u say most g-plates are you only refering to sr's or all nova's?

My G-plate 1200 was registerd in april or june 1990.

i think he's comparing 1300sr to 1400sr for some reason.

obv g-reg and h-reg 1400sr's are going to be exactly the same engine wise.

Some people say that the 1.3SRs are quicker upto 60mph, but obviously the 1.4 is a bigger capacity and so would be faster overall.

Strangely the ppl who say 1.3 sr's are faster are the ppl that own 1.3 sr's

I saw an E reg white nova and that sed 1.4SR on the boot. Maybe the boot was off another nova cuz i thort the SR model was 1.3 til F reg then 1.4 G regd onwards

1.3 sr - 69bhp@5800, 74lbf@3800, 0-60 12.5s, tope speed=103mph.

1.4sr - 71bhp@5600, 79lbf@3000, 0-60 12.0s, top speed=104mph.

1.4sri - 80bhp@5800, 83lbf@3400, 0-60 10.5s, top speed=109mph.

1.3sr on sale 1983
1.4sr on sale 1988
1.4sri on sale 1990

might not be completely accurate but sounds about right.

Obv the early single choke 1300sr's were only around 65bhp
