right im going to get rid of engine hopefully for a 2lt 16v on 45s just wondering what sort of price i would be looking at selling the engine for as a whole or if i broke it.
ah it was a good day, met lots of people. Shame my car was being a t**t an not getting the right times best i got was a 16.3. I think that engine is gonna be taken out very soon.
My car died on the way home, plus the engine in the justnovas van died on the way down there.
not much by the sound of it.

i found out why it died, the earth cable had snapped.
It was rolling roaded at 90 at the wheels and the full spec;
1.4sr, ported and poloished, competition springs an valves, a cam of some sort, vernier pulley, four branch manifold and twin 40's. I have an uprated clutch as well.
where was it tested? 90 bhp at the wheels is very good.

right anyway the engine is out an i want rid of it. I found another problem when taking it out, the drivers side mount had broken off and wasnt attached :o . I'd like to sell the engine has a whole if possible or well break depends.
big mistake mate. you should have left it running so buyer's could check it out

The Saxo VTS you were refering to is my mates, yes it has 17's and just a BMC filter on the engine.
Its best time was a 15.9 which is very very good!!!! As 2 other mates have VTS's with Performance exhausts, Induction kits, de-cats and 15's and there best times last year were 16.2 and 16.3 :o And that was after lots of attempts.
To be honest I think having 17's actually helped some cars! Like my mates Silver Valver (the one with smooth bumpers and 17's on that ran a PB of 14.5 (padges). As it enabled then to get grip off the line, were as others were spinning like crazy.
Phil, I don't know how much your engine is worth.... But boy does it sound good on full bore! :D Especially when it was going round Castle combe!

yes i do like the sound of the carbs, but with a saxo doing those sorts of times i need to upgrade. Plus shall be having carbs on the valver so no loss there :D
