As far as i know the results were as follows:

Overall winner : Chip RB
Overall second: Will RB
Overall third: JohnnyA RB

Class wins.
Anything goes class : RB - Chip
2.0 16v turbo class: RB - Chip
2.0 16v N/A class: NL - ChrisT
2.0 8v N/a class : NL - Dan
1.6 turbo class : NL - Neil
1.6 16v N/A class: NL - Phil
1.6 8v : NL - Dan


So overall NL well and truely dominated in all but the fastest classes, so congratualtions from everyone from NL for a superb team effort and a HUGE turnout of cars.

For anyone too lazy to count that means that novaload won

5 - 2 on classes.

But to be honest the class thing all turned out to be a bit of a red herring as NL were the only team with entries in some classes so would have won even if they had walked up the strip!


Have to have a rethink about how we score it for next time i reckon?

How can you be in the Anything goes and Turbo class? You should be the winner in the Anything goes class, and Will should be the winner of the turbo class.

No mate, if you look at the rules nitrous is eligable for the turbo class, and obviously anything is eligable for the anything goes class so my car was winner in both.
Same as dan won the 2.0 8v class even though he also won the 1.6 8v class as his car was the quickest 8v car there in both classes.

The whole point of slips is to give accurate results of what times the cars ran. Yes, there were a lot of spectators, but i couldnt keep up with what car ran what time.

you never have minimum CC like that on a class, if he wants to race a 1600 in the upto 2100 he is perfectly allowed to do so.

He didnt ask to be in 2 classes, he just happened to meet the requirements for both classes and due to lack of anyone who met the 2.0 8v requirements who was faster he won it.

Id hardly be fiddling it to allow him in two classes when im from RB and he is from NL now would i?


If he had got a 13.2 he would have won:

1.6 8v
2.0 8v
Anything goes


Thats just the way class based racing works, relax its only a bit of fun and both sites came out of it ok.

RB got fastest and second overall and a couple of class wins
NL got third quickest overall and a lot of class wins


More importantly, everyone had a good chance to meet up and have a laugh, all the NL guys i met werre sound as hell and im looking forward to meeting them all again at the next one.

I understand what your saying Chip, but I thought that no matter what time you got, thats the time for your class. So say Dan did run a 13.2, he'd still have a time of 13.2 for the 1.6 8v class, regardless of the fact that he would have beaten the 2.0 turbos and 2.0 N/A cars. He wouldn't be automatically entered in any other classes just becasue of his time.

I agree that it was all good fun and that we should do it again.
