Nice to see Chris T keeping up with the Turbo's.

Whats Will's username on here with the phase 2 Turbo?

benji

Will is from RB, and his best time was a 13.4

So it was an RB 1,2,3 overall with the 3 best times of the day being:

Chip - 13.3 - knackered old XE
Will - 13.4 - immaculate phase 2 turbo
Johhny A - 13.6 - LET nova (aka SEF)

For anyone interested here is a summary of the best times recorded at the last NL shootout held 9th Sept 2001.

1.2 Class M. Gent 19.286 (8v carb)

1.3 Class T. Crisp 16.94 (8v carb)
S.Drake 17.0 (8v Sport)

1.4 Class S. Renouf 16.986 (8v inj)
G.Breene 17.52 (8v carb)

1.6 Class D. Burke 14.78 (16v TB's)
T. Lunn 14.989 (8v carbs)
M. Mather 15.34 (8v Turbo)

2.0 Class J. Shields 13.648 (16v TB's - the courtenay vicki car)
D. Ludlam 13.729 (16v Carbs)
A. Haines 13.819 (LET)

Average times based on engine size only:
1.3's = 17.91 4 runners
1.4 = 17.50 6 runners
1.6 = 15.98 10 runners
1.6T = 15.50 2 runners
2.0 = 14.61 10 runners
LET = 15.26 3 runners

As can be seen current running best times are up with the exception of the 2.0l 16 valvers. Its gonna take some doing to beat those figures.

PS The running conditions yesterday were near perfect. They werent as good at the previous shootout - no where near as much warm sun.

For my car its the case of the hotter it is the faster i go, simple as that.

On a cold day i reckon will could beat me possibly but on a hot day its all in my favour.

How come all of a sudden Jonny A's time has dropped 0.2?

It says that they were preliminary results that needed to be checked and ammended if errors were found Ben.

It was a big scramble at the end cos most peeps were dashing round to get a load of runs in before it closed. The times kept coming down for many peeps so we grabbed what times we could - there were bound to be some errors. Nothing was meant by it :)

I think i might have been mistaken, in the last race it looks like it was will with the 13.6 not johnnya, so i think he IS a 13.8 after all, just waiting a response when he gets online.

Looks like I missed out on a phat day :( But I'll be ready for USC in august.

Great time Nova...Chris! and everyone else. All well done to chip.

Lets have the full times, as there seems to be a lot of rounding of times, and not even to the nearest 10th of a sec. lol.
