He's got some of my old interior, and my old carpet. Went down there twice to see him and both times his car was in the bodyshop having archwork done to get the 19s on it. :cry:

I have so many favourites, I really couldn't list them all.. but I'll give it a a go! Most of the ones mentioned previously and a few more..

The only 2 bodykitted cars I've ever liked are Ians old blue one and Dan Paynes, they were both done extremely well.

Austins is phat.. and is gonna be even more extreme this year :wink: (Guy is a complete loon lol)

Obviously Brett Warbuttons, one of the best novas ever built without a doubt.

Cp's.. well what can I say about that, its the biggest slap in the face for anyone who thinks "theres no replacement for displacement" lol Love seeing it round the track where it belongs.

Karthiks/Wilsons euro styled runaround one.. purely because its so different, there isnt another like it in the UK.

Declan Burkes was also an amazing car, seen a few pics of it in its current guise and it looks like the new owner has taken care of it.

Beesty's car is also cool, just gets better every year.

I loved Neils in the previous guise (Red 1600 turbo one..)

Jules's is also cool, plain and simple but done well. Just the smallest touches make Novas look nice, and his is a great example!

Chris T's deserves a mention too, love the car to bits :)

Jims is gonna be veryyyyy nice when it eventually gets back on the road..

Theres just so many... and most of them are members of novaload, you should all be proud 8)

I dont realy have a favorite as i like so many elements off different cars. Though my overall favorite would be bretts just for the build quality and proves you can keep the original lines of the nova and still build an awesome car. Just a shame it doesnt come out much.

I've really luvved going thru all the pics everyone has put up. They are an excellent illustration of how shite the comments that you hear other car owning peeps make that Novas are just a load rusty wank.

I'm a bit different in my views than most. Although i like the look of really clean stdish Novas the main things that draw me are build quality and performance.

The first show class car I had chance to really crawl round and check over thoroughly was Brett Warburtons. The build quality and attention to detail is epic - I couldnt find a single fault or blemish anywhere and i looked underneath!!!!. No expense is spared and its got goodies to die for installed like a stack dash. Although I'm not sure about the colour its probably the 1 nova i always head over to look at if i know its appearing somewhere so it must be my overall favourite.

Otherwise:

- MC's 1.4 and Dans 1.6 - both are great examples of Espirito de Nova - budget racers using original nova engines - light, agile, responsive, balanced and terrifically rewarding drives on the twisty stuff. For my money these are what Novas are really about.

On track I always look out for Darren Ludlams (luggy) - one of the fastest well driven Novas I have seen.

Scarily fast drives - Breenys LET - first and only one i have driven. Chris T's - man thats an animal! :lol:

Bonkers - got to be the ATC Isaac Hunt drag racer and last but not least the Boost Beast :lol: totally mad. Loved it at trax last year esp when the announcer goes in voice that sounded like he couldnt quite believe it " The current fastest 0-60 time is being held by a..... ? Nova? umm err 2.83 secs?" :lol: :lol:

I've been saying for years that I will build one for myself - infact I've had a shell sat outside for over 3 year waiting for me to make a start on it !!

I've aquired most of the part required to build it (Full weld in cage/throttle bodies/new panels etc) but I just need to get the welder out and start !!! Infact I've arranged to borrow a 'Car Spit' off a mate so I can spin it over and over whilst attacking it with my grinder/welder !!


The first show class car I had chance to really crawl round and check over thoroughly was Brett Warburtons. The build quality and attention to detail is epic - I couldnt find a single fault or blemish anywhere and i looked underneath!!!!.


I like to think that Bretts WRC Nova was a practice run for my own project - I've loads of ideas for mine (That I told Brett I wouldn't do on his - You've got to have some little tweeks you only keep for yourself !!), so hopefully things can only get better !!!

Epo is jack your little lad? If so mate the pictures of my car on his wall has to be the biggest complement! I had a ferrari f40 on my wall. Cheers, thats made my day :wink:

I dont realy have a favorite as i like so many elements off different cars. Though my overall favorite would be bretts just for the build quality and proves you can keep the original lines of the nova and still build an awesome car. Just a shame it doesnt come out much.

Dave, you really do need to build one yourself. When you do i a will predict that it will be the most mental nova ever built. :wink:
