gear problems!! xe owners help!

got the F20 box for the XE an it sumtimes doesnt like goin into reverse an 2nd, but if i put my foot on the clutch an put it into another gear an then out in neutral an then into reverse it will go in fine, any ideas??

i used to have trouble selecting gears with my valver. The same symptoms as you but mine was the linkage that was knacked. There was a lot of play in the joints and if youwiggled the stick in neutral before going into another gear then it went in fine. Chris
