WTF is it woth people selling their Novas and declaring that they will be back in the future with an even better/higher powered one 'in the future'.
What, like when EVERY single shell is rotten?
Novas have had their day to be honest, and won't ever be considered a classic either.
supose its summat to do with the challenge of tryin to do summat unique and different
i mean i love the cars there cheap easy to fix always lots of spares and ive leartn alot since usin this site

being my first car i learn lost from my nova and learning more and more each day
this site helps so much
This is true in years to come it will cost alot more to get a mint shell
yeah but with all the spare parts avaliable new wings doors inner wings ect
its easy enough to do 1 up

never say never. everything eventually becomes a classic. the following novas have had; if you rekon they're passed it; is too greater for them to not be. ide say the nova sport is already a classic. soon the mk1 SR will be. novas are legendary. lol.

There are still mint shells about, you just have to look for them. At the end of the day virtually every panel on a nova can be redone, you only have to worry if it has serious rot.
Novas usually hold a special place in peoples hearts if they have owned them (not like yourself obviously Marty)

i understand that, but the fact that they sell it for less than its worth is daft, especially after all the hard work, and money that goes into um..but thas just my personal opinion..

And if i go to Australia to live im thinking of taking it with me,thought i have no idea if they have any over there,so i dont know how i would go about insuring it,as if there is none it would be well high or none insurable?
still it's just not worth selling them once you put so much into it and have spent so much on it..

It'll be insured as an import I guess.
I'm considering ditching one of my novas soon - as much as it pains me to lose it, it'll probably be the hatch that has to go. Once i've saved up a bit of money i'll look at buying a Nissan 200SX.

i wouldnt say they are all mingers now. have a look at the red one in these pics. its seriously like brand new, and soon to have a LET in it aswell.
for anyone who looks the white one has a LET in it jusy now but my mate crashed it for me, so everything is being put in the red shell.

i hate marmite, lol. i love novas aswell, i dont think there is an easier car in the world to work on. i mena that thread i posted above. from a full car to having a full interior stripped out including loom only took me about 2 hours, lol. easy as hell.
and dont they just go great with big engines :D

What i meant by the post, however, was that if people are getting rid of these novas they 'love so much' it must be because they are moving on to what they would deem as 'up' to the netx/better thing. WHY would you then state that you are going to get something you don't want at the moment, further down the line!?
Yes Novas are nice, but they are just a car. But this is nowhere near as pathetic as loyalty to a particular manufacturer, for whatever reason that may be. Get over it people.
