fuel pump switch

i want to put a switch on the fuel pump as its a very good way of completely disabling the car. anyone else tried this? ive found the multiplug that connects to the pump, do i need to put a switch on both the wires or just one of them?. Is it safe to just put a switch on a 12 volt wire, i dont want to electrocute myself :o

there is a fuse 4 the pump in thefuse box locate the rear wires 4 it, and put an inline switch in any of the 2 wires, then locate ur switch in a hidden place.. use a toggle switch...
