I have a 1.2 and am wanting to put a 1.4SR init. What does this involve, ecu?, brakes? etc. Also if i was looking to get it done at a garage how much would a good price be. And basically is it worth the time and money?

its a straight forward swap. ie engine out, new one in

no brake changes required (but astra ATE brakes are recomended for any nova)

i agree with cambridge!! very easy job, but i could not tell you how much it would cost at a garage, think you should do it yourself mate

Ok,

Astra GTE 16V Calpiers pads, discs ?40
Nova D/TD/GTE/GSi//Corsa Brake servo ?20
Supspension doesn't need changing.

Engine Transplant- FoC (do it yourslef)

You will be pleased with the step from 1.2 to 1.4. And change the brakes too, they 2.0 brakes are unbeleivable compared to the shitty nova ones.
