homemade air filter

just wondering what and how people have done home made air filters?

one of my m8's got some really small meshing and corragated card and slapped it in his air box it was a nissan sunny 1.6 it sounded a bit beefy er!

Are you thinkin of making one urself

I heard that drilling holes into the casing gives it a more of a roar when you put your foot on the accelerator....

Any one done this??

cut a few holes out of the airbox as said
aslong as you don't go beyond where the filter sits you should be ok will give you a better air flow than standard

k+n pankake filters aren't really all that good improvement imo just look nice with the shiny top!
