Hi,
I know this is quite a vague one, but here goes.
My 1.0 nova has started making quite a loud clicking noise. It seems to be coming from roughly the position of the alternator belt pulley on the main engine block (although it's hard to tell). It also stops doing it if you take the engine higher than about 3000rpm.
I'm figuring either there's a bearing on the way out in there or it's the oil pump. Is the oil pump just behind the pulley? Has anyone any ideas as to what might be causing it?
Thanks,
John.
