The pics does not reveal its true form, that was when it was in its former glory. Got the car booked in for some work, bodywise. Hopefully will come out looking just like that.

The guy wanted quite a bit of money for it but it had an engine problem. He dropped the price because he thought it was a major problem. I checked out the car, called out the AA, they told me it was a dud alternator (already had new alternator and battery but car was still going dead, hence the bloke selling it sold it cheaper because he thought it was a bigger problem - should have seen his face when he heard the AA man say "minor alternator problem".

Once this engine goes pop, 1.8T engine going in :)

VR6 roar, love that sound, but overweight like c20xe lumps in nova's.

Yep very quick cars, got a run for my money the other day by a mk3 vr6 but I had the edge. vr6 lump in a mk1 would go like shit of a shovel :wink:

a VR6 convesion would go down a storm, nicest sounding engines around imo
