amps and subs!!!!

please can anyone help me!! im getting really annoyed. i wanna buy a sub, but i dont know what wattage amp i need to get. i have a sony mini disc head unit, with inbuilt amplifier. and i have a dual bassbox (200 watt) in th boot. im looking to get a 400-600 watt sub which would be running with the bassbox. someone please help me and let me know about what power amp i could get. cheers.

my install had the following setup:

a JBL Sub 225 Watt RMS 375 Watt Max
a MTX Amp in bridge mode 175 Watt RMS @ 12,7 Volts

The specs of the Amp where tested at MTX. So this are real Spec's.
This setup goes very very loud in a Nova.

My advice.
When you using a 600 Watt (RMS) Sub take a very good AMP.
Suchs as MTX, RF, JBL. When the amp is between the 500 and 600 Watt (RMS) you 've a good setup.
