Almost finished building the GSi nova now took it out for a quick blast on motorway other night and was horrified at top speed before digi dash was in and analogs were fitted it went off the clocks :D
however now digi dash is in it seems to read correct speed around 40 miles an hour but on motorway only just went over 100
ok i have fitted a kingdom rear spoiler i done some nice bonnet vents but surely the cant looase me in excess of 30 miles an hour
it does feel fast when driving its got 115.7 BHP proven at wheels surely this cant be right HELP

well it revs off the clock when im following cars assuming they are doing around 70 ish i think my revs are up in the high 5000s was a while ago though...
oh it has 16" rims with 45 rubber if that help...
I BELIEVE THAT THE DIGI DASHES ARE MORE ACCURATE THEN THE ANOLOG CLOCKS SO WHEN YOU WERE OF CLOCKS IN REALITY YOU PROB WASNT :(

yeah i go along with that.. but i cant see an analog clock set being over 35 miles an hour wrong can you..
I have seen similar problems on Cav analog dashes where a standard 2 litre injestion claimed to go off the clock at 160!!!! Fraid it looks like your old dash was knackered

so your telling me that a GSi only does 100 miles an hour!! even when im flying past people like they are sitting still..
i did a test with a friend that has a 1.8 16 v Astra sport MK3
his can do 0-60 in just over 7 seconds i beat him as we did it side by side and my clocks still were not reading 60!!!!!
:o
HELP :x
Have you tried switching the little red switch on the top of the dash?
This changes the reading by a few percet to accomodate for different size wheels.
You should get 100 easy in a GSi
I have a 1.4 and I can get 100 in 3rd! (downhill) a big jump up to 4th since i blew my CR box....won't pull at all in 5th on motorway, top speed in 4th!
I have never had a digi work (due to crap wiring from previous digi loom owner) and felt very stupid when I got a power probe on it
