number plate light, urgent please !!!

has anyone got any ideas or pics on how to light a rear numberplate ??
just had my boot smoothed and with the number now having no location i need some ideas !!!

ive already thought of :

1.) backlighting, but how do i do this ??
2.) FIbre optics, as above ??
3.) square style plate with a light on a bracket somehow ??
4.) plate with two like neon washer jets bonded on ??

my mot is in a week and i need urgent help

Where are you putting the number plate? If its a cutout in the bumper you could try a few LEDs in the overhang along the top?

when i recesed my numberplate into the back bumper I cut out holes in the metal backing plate and put the lights in there, I used 2 interior lights then just sealed them with silicone, works fine illuminates the numberplate all over and you cant see where the light is cumming from, I can get u some pics if you want ?

i mounted 4 4v leds into my bumper....very bright but do the trick without to much effort

right i know its an expensive option but what about tryin sorce out a tvr rear number plate light it backlights the plate

it was on a car in revs or redline or summat looked well good

i just found a great idea in the 2004 FC4 issue of Demon Tweeks catalogue.

They are little bolts that bol from behind but they have little lights on them that shine down onto the plate.

if any of u have the catalogue and wanna check them out they r on page 219.

do you mean 2004 mp4 issue

no its definately FC4, i pressume this is because it came free with Fast Car and MP would come free withMax Power.

they r probably exactly the same catalogue, check on page 219 and see if they r there

i dunno, the first item is the license plate kit which comprises two lights and two bolts. dunno if they wud be bright enough, but it doesnt say that they are for off road use so i pressume that wud do the job.

if u get em let me know if they do the job.

my car aint quite ready for em yet(still in bits in the garage)

wot bout gettin a standard rear light from an escort mk6 and stickin it to the bottom of the plate with a double sided sticky pad? it wont look as gud but it works
