well-worn (out) gearbox

greetings!

this is my first time as a user so be gentle . . . I own an old 1300SR with a gearbox that is liable to fall-out, next time I change gear!

I remember reding somewhere that the close ratio box from a 1.4SRi is the one to go for 'cause it has the 'fastest' ratios - is this true, and will it fit nicely on to an A-reg motor -

Also - is there a group of nova fanatics in bonnie Edinburgh???

the 14 sri had a f 13 gearbox form the gsi/gte/corsas and as far as im aware u have to haver the flywheel and cluth to match but apart from that it should go straight on
