Hey newbie here, question about Aerials

hiya,

I bought a second hand nova 1.2 merit plus a few weeks back, very nice and its my first car.

The only thing is, the radio aerial is broken off, and a mate came round to fix it last night. He got the aerial off but couldn't get it out of the front wing, so there is just a hole there now and the aerial is still connceted, but cant seem to get at it.

Do i have to just take the front wing off and do it from there, get a new aerial and fit it on etc, or is there another way of doing it??

Any help would be great!!! :)

under the drivers sied wheel arch tehre is a pannel taht is screwed on, this is the access pannel for removing the aerial.


have fun sorting the cable. no easy way of doing that bit

yeah i thought that might be it, was a bit wary of taking it off incase it wasnt. Thanks for that!!!

Is there anything i need to be really careful with when doing the wires??

just take our time to make sure you dont mess things up thats all.

Well thanks for the advice, unfortunantly I cant get into that section becuase of some very rusty screws, tried some penetrating liquid but that doesn't seem to have helped. Any Ideas?

introduce the screws to mr drill :evil:

A good screwdriver and a good driver behind it!

Just use a good screwdriver and take ur time, failing that a drill and some stud removers.
