Sounds like the fuel pipe has come off the carb connection due to going at high speed, hence pushing more fuel through.
Maybe they have split, or they may have just slipped off.

Yeah it could be that. But deffo take it to the carb specialist and get it checked out, don't bodge repairs involving petrol.
Also is the throttle cable etc moving freely.

Well you need one of those weber re-build kits which i think are around the ?30-40 mark.
Then you can either re-build it yourself, or get a garage to do it. But obviously the garage will charge whatever they want.
On the carb are all the throttle linkages etc moving freely, none of them are stuck open or anything.

Definately sounds like stuck floats fromwhat you said. Did you say you actually took the carb apart and checked the floats?

Mr.h.

Problem solved lads! 1of the screw bolts that hold the base of the filter on had vibrated itself loose n bounced into the chamber,n stopped the float from comin bk up! :( All good now though took her apart n all sorted now! :D

Glad to hear it, so all that had happened is that the screw from the air filter fell down inside the carb and stop things closing back up.
Luckily it was nothing serious :+:
