tachometer 1.2

hi, just wondering if a rev counter (tachometer) that goes to 8,000rpm will fit ok on a standard 1.2? will i have to set it?

I think it should be O.K as long as its for the same number of engine cylinders etc. I don't think it should matter about the scale, just that you probably won't reach the 8000rpm mark, well not safely anyway.
