hiya - just sold my yamaha R1 engine, and i need a strong, reliable turbo friendly & nitrous friendly for my go kart.

i am gonna drag race it next year so need to get my finger out.
looking at GSX-r 1300 engines, R1, GSX-r 1000, blade, or any big V-twin!!

any info folks would be greatly appreciated!

no info about the engines sorry, but do you already have the kart built? if so any pics?

Will it be like the one that was doing the rounds a while back, the gixxer kart or something? that looked crazy!

well - drag race use only. and a shit load quicker than that gixxer.

the kart is built but has no body work or engine cos just sold.
so i wanna do a turbo nitrous power monster with a 4tyre rear axle and wheelie bars

What about a hayabusa (sp)? These, so i'm reliably informed, can be bored to 1400cc and turbo'ed! and nearly 400 ponies!!

a favorit lump to turbo and nos in the bike world is the suzuki bandit 1200
or the old gixer 1100 efe (they r both based on the same block)

u cud try a kawasaki zx12r lump as they have 186bhp standard, oh and 70mph in 1st gear too!

Why dont u do Twin R1 engine's and a 4wd go - kart, that would be sickening.

on the ghost rider 2 dvd there is a 499bhp@the wheel hyabusa turbo that wheelies at 200mph+

i cant afford 2 r1 engines and where the hell would my feet go??
be too heavy as well - serious strengthening needed.

i would love to find a bandit engine but all the drag boys are snapping them up.

also started looking into lightweight bodyshells - another nova
with big bike power to the rear wheels using kart style rear chassis, and just strip it to about 300kg.
