just doing some investigation on the prices on 16v conversions

ie customer supplying parts ie engine and so on. what kind of price are people paying

or what is the round about price for just leaving it at a garage and picking it up when its all finished

can anyone give any ball park figures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 8) 8) 8)

I don't know if your average garage would be willing to do an engine swap. Best go talk to a few and see what they say, probably be a case of you get the bits, they put it together.

Courtenay and Regal both do engine conversions, but at a price (considering courtenays website states a 1600i into a nova costs ?1800 you could bet a 2.0 would be double that...) but that includes them getting all the bits... all you have to do is supply them with the car afaik.[/quote]

?3,500... and it looks like all you get is a standard engine fitted, doesn't say anything about driveshafts, strengthening, etc

At justnovas its 5000 for the full conversion, but that is with a rebuilt engine, competion engine mounts, coilovers, brakes, fully welded engine bay and painted, drivshafts. The 5000 is if you just leave the car an pick it up all done. If you were to supply the engine then thats about 1500 of the price already
