gsi tie bars the same as 1.2???

well they look the same but i was just puzzled y they had differnt part number could it be something to do with the arb ?

i thought the gte tie bars are were slightly thicker

they are thicker on the GTE/GSi. thats why people who stick gte ARBs and accompanying bushes on their 1.2 (like I did to my mates 5dr) notice virtually no difference. I think the sr arb and bushes fit right to the 1.2

I'm starting to think this is why ARBs on 1.0-1.4 novas with no great change in ride height are like marmite, some like some don't. maybe the some who don't have the wrong size.

if you look carefully on the EPC it gives the sizes of the tie rods. And yes I have compared the 2, measured them when trying to figure out why the ARB that went on the 1.2 5dr was loose fitting.

the arb's are different thicknesses.

and the mouting bolt (the very end of the tie bar) is the same thickness on all models, since the lowerd mounts come in one spec only.
