TURBO CONVERSION

Wat would i need to do to my xe to turbo convert it?i already have a turbo,someone has said to me all that is required is to double over the head gasket to change the compression and ad another injector??i thought a 5th injector was for somethin to do with cold starts(well so i was told ages ago)the bloke was prob full of shit!!

well, depend sif you want it to be a LET or not, if so, buy a LET ans ell the XE on. or if custom, get a mappable ecu set, MBE, DTA, Emerald etc... make a custom loom up, bolt on the turbo, use LET pistons as they are forged and good for pretty high power circa 300BHP. Fit an intercooler etc..,
IT's cheaper and easier to buy a LET whole and transplant it though.

The xe pistons will be fried because the rings are positioned much higher. A boost control system will be needed. The idea of a 5th injector will work without any problem. The double head gasket will need a steel plate in between as well. You will loose the squish effect with this set up. Don?t forget an intercooler and loads of other stuff.
