anyone out ther able to confirm will mk1 doors fit a mk2 ok. mine are totally shot and looking around I've found some half decent Mk1 models but not travelling to have a look if they ain't gonna fit!

Yes they should fit. I bought a Mk1 Gte door and fitted it to my 1.4 SR no problem (well, other than the fact i had to get it painted :))

I was told by my local vauxhall dealer that early Mk1 (pre-85 i think) doors are a different shape to later Mk1 and Mk2s....

he's right... but it's only a small difference...

the bolt holes for the exterior handles are different
