can someone describe draw or take photo or point me to a photo of the point where u cut chassis leg to clear alternator my body shop are waiting poised wiv angle grinder ready to cut but no one knows where they are gonna weld a box in there.
any ideas on box size and position
cheers
im getting car back on 23rd and gonna try and have it ready for PVD im not convinced its gonna happen yet
dont cut anything. use a big mallet and whack it in so its flush with the turret. then weld it along the top where the seam is.

i want a box welded in there not a smack the shit out of it job. i presume that will stretch the metal and weeken the leg or distort it

hitting it is fine and it's not a box cause the pulley sits out of the top of it

do you know of a picture showing this non box type box thing in action
will take a lot of welding 2 do the box
much much easyer 2 bash it
as u wont see it anyway
the air pipe will cover it
and by cutting the leg you will weaken it. by bashing it you leave all the metal there which keeps the strength. and when you weld it you are putting any strength back in
