Bad boy bonnet opening

im planning on doing a bad boy bonnet soon but dont know how i will open the bonnet. i dont really like the idea of bonnet pins and removing the safety catch. i was thinkin of mayb weldin a long 10mm dia rod to the catch and making it long enuff so i cud get my hand under the front bumper?? wud this be a gud idea? ne1 got ne gud ideas?.someone sed bout movin a bolt or summet?

weld an extension onto the bonnet striker, so it goes down an extra few inches behind the grill :)

Right mate on this is my guide it will show you all parts of my catch its basically a bit of wire that tucks under light so when u pull bonnet lever it goes onto first notch then u pull loop and hey presto bonnet opens.the pics are even labelled for you.Saves u cutting your grill and using bonnet pins.
