make it faster

i have a gsi and i want it 2go that extra bit faster what engine mods could i do and how much gain would it have?do gsi`s have a rev limiter?

Look at hte stckys at the top of the forum for good tips on making the 1.68v go faster

If you don't know if it has a rev limiter, then you are driving hard enough. To make it go that bit faster, use all the revs.

what sort of budget have you got.

Ive built them in many specs.. right up to using throttle bodies and 160hp thats still tractable

I didn't go any further with advice as its an open ended question. The sticky on 1.6 8v tuning is a rough guide, and if someone comes on here with more of an idea on what they want and how much they have to spend, I'll be more helpfull.

The 1.6 8v is one of the easiest engines to get good gains from. I've had a hand in tuning quite a few to varying degrees.

I added a lexmaul exhaust manifold + courtenay 270 cam + usual k&n + full system (+ the tricks in MC's sticky!) and ran a 7.69 @ trax 0-60
As MC says they are very tuneable.
