how do i open the boot 4om in side the car, wit a switch. and can i still use the key?

You need a solenoid kit expect to pay about 35 quid for one, i bought the components for ?3.45 tho ! havn't built it yet !

It's basically a Relay and a solenoid, when a voltage is put across the solenoid/relay it makes the metal core of the solenoi move outwards, pushing the latch of the lock, and the relay does the job of making sure the solenoid returns to it's original position.

I guess you can still use the key from the outside

The question is.... why would you want to do both ?

the only logical reason for a solenoid kit is if you smooth the tailgate and get rid of the external lock !?

On my mums honda accord it seems to be cable operated, could give that a think.. bit daft, cable operated on a 20k car !
