a 40mm drop an 15 inch alloys an you wont need any arch work. but im not so sure on a 3 door. On my 5door i have 16s and a drop of about 70 but its still rubs some times, i did have it dropped about 130 but the wheels wouldnt turn as it was stuck on the top of the arch.

got any pictures of that?
if its a mk2 u can go 60mm with 19\45\16 or 15 without havin to grind the arches
dunno if u can still take passengers at that drop
if its mk 1 ull need to grind the arches back as theres 5mm difference between the 2

is any of this affected by the offset of the alloys? im in a similar position with my mk2 SRi and want 2 lower it by 35mm all round....trouble is the front wheels stick out about 10mm from the arches! :?
ir i remeber right u want a 45-49mm offset

is it poss 2 tell the offset now that theyre on? ive got 15" BSA Racing on 195/50, but they were on when i got it!
ive just been for a blast in derbyshire and ended up rubbing the front tyres on a few occasions even without being lowered!
i may just end up having 2 leave it as it is!

if you get stiffer shox, it wont move as much
im lowered 60mm on 15" but i had to do my arches as my tyres are really really really wide

yes, ive had 2 get the 2 rear tyres changed just after i bought it. debate was as to whether theyd been moved from the front which would make sense, but the previous owner said this hadnt been done.
i havent got round 2 tracking it yet but could b a good idea
if ur cars lowered i thought it was 4 wheel laser allignment u wanted not trackin as that wont make ne difference
