Im 15, and my dad bought me a nova wid novadose bumper rs skirts and im not sure bout the rear.anyway, while on roybacer.net,europes so called biggest nova community,i was told that if i go ahead with my plans by puttin on abyss front and rear bumper and la cat skirts wid badboy bonnet, that the car would look a mess because "ONLY GSI BUMPERS LOOK GOOD ON A NOVA" they told me that bolt on kits were crap,i think this is a pathetic gesture and want ur opinions on if my car will look good with what ive told u!?
TBH i like standard looking novas better, so i see what the RB lads are saying. At the end of the day its up to you what to do dont let anyone tell you different, if you look round the features on this sight im sure your find a few that will be in the style you want

Just read this months Fast Car mate, a bloke has slapped Ford Focus lights on his R5 GTT!!!!! Now whilst i dont particulary like R5's, I gota admit if someone had of said to me that they planned to fit Focus lights on an R5 id say it was a shite idea and not too even bother! But to be honest, although it's not my cup of tea i take my hat of to the lad! Its a bloody original thing to do!!!
All credit to ya for undoing the norm!
I think that you should get a GSI bumper :D

it only doesn't tend to work because its been done so much in the passed; that standard is the new or newer modification for novas. they're classics now.
some kits can look decent but id rather stay subtle and smooth.
its each to his own imo
i personally havent fitted a kit to mine due to the be arsed factor as in i cant be
+ they only seem to look good with big wheels
i wudnt fit one to mine now as am happy with the way it looks
i wud how ever like to smooth my number plate recess in
ps i dont think its very clever to put up daft threads about some1 sayin there gay cos they dont like ur car just ignore em
do what u want to ur car at the end of the day its u who's gunna drive it :!: :!: :!:

How is standard better than kitted? it isnt? kitted is better in my opinion, when ppl build custom kits its even better, about 60% of nova's on this site have gone gsi subtle look n its gettin old now, altho the gsi bumpers work better with the lines of the car obviously, but im still for fibreglass lumps all the way. 8)
like many have said already, its each to their own.
I personally love the standard GSI/GTE bumpers, although there are some kitted nova's that i also happen to love the look of. i dont agree with just one side of the argument tbh, cause both can look just as good as each other IMO..except where the kit is a little OTT
This argument will go on for ever lol
Styling is down to personal taste. You might even find your taste change, i did. Used to like kits, now i prefer the subtle standard look (no point having a car thats all bark and no bite so to speak)
Or you could just get two novas, one standard and one kitted :D
seriously i used to like kitted cars with everything modified but then my mind changed and I like the subtle mods you can do to the GSI look.
some kits are getting so common now anyway (especially on paxos and corsas) they are all getting boring and IMO most are ugly anyway.

exactly, in your opinion.
When i was 15 i used to always want a kitted car, bodykit, bonnet vents, undercar neons etc
But now i have seen the light, i would rather have standard. The standard GSI bumpers with a splitter look miles more aggressive and strong than moulded plastic.
And are cheaper!
The final fact is its your car, no one from off here is gonna come round your house and rip off a bodykit you put on( well, i don't think so anyway,LOL) . Mod it how you want it.
Its up to you.

some theiving pikey round here tried to rip off my spoiler but ended up just cracking it.
personlly the next car im doing isnt gonna have a bodykit, or any kind of good nova bits. Its going to be as crap looking as possible different coloured doors and those real nice mk 1 merit bumpers. Oh an of course a large engine then go hunting the 106's and saxo's with gay flake paint and 24inch wheels. I get more satisfaction from people being very upset cos the mouldy nova beat them than from people looking at the car and liking the way it looks.
theivin bastards
i do like ur car phil its mint

Kit's vs Gsi's is always a debate and if i could i'd have a standard Gsi with a 2 litre 16valve and then i'd have my kitted car... seen as i aint got the cash for both then personally i'd have the kitted car.... when as other would have a cleaner lookin car...
One thing i really hate is poorly fitted kits and badly prep'd fibreglass... so if you aint gonna put the effort into making the kit and rest of the car look like glass then don't bother at all
at the end of the day
we build these cars for OUR selves not ne 1 else
dont get me wrong its nice when people say "i like ur car ect"
but its u as a person who has to drive it and feel proud
ive had people say change my wheels and stuff
1 i cant afford to
2 i like em personally they've just bin powder coated so look fairly new
3 they cost me fuck all
