how do i fit a mk1 center console to a mk1? i havent got the console yet but ive got one it the post. jus wondering how it is fitted? my car is 1.2 merit(1988) the center consol came outta 1989 GTE.

im after one aswell but i would presume it just screws in somewhere i dunno.

i done the same but it was on a MK2 dont know if is diff, but you have to cut a little of the carpet

same procedure as mk2

cut little bit of carpet
locate hole
screw

yep it simply just screws in, remove the centre plate in the bottom of the console, and screw in, then replace the bottom plate thingy, read the guide. 5 min job

as youve got the mk1 console - get yourself some nice casette holders for the top. TBH you might not even have a casette player, but the console looks somewhat empty without them......
