can i put speakers in my doors?

is it easy enough to put some speakers in my doors? i have a mk1, and as standard, there are no speakers in the doors, just wondered if it could be done without too much hassle.

Yeah you can do it but you will need to drill the holes in your doors to run the wires through

There aren't many places to put them in the door cuz the door frame and window bits get in the way. the only place to put 'em is alongside the seats which muffles them. I set mine as far forward of the seats as possible, but the left one sometimes grounds out on the metal door frame and it fouls the window winder It's hard to guesstimate the distances.

You can get door pods that look like O.E. but there 100 quid. Too expensive I reckon.

yeah true but the be arsed factor and mine are alpin 5" componat speakers and came with these spacers so was no need to

i would say so m8 im gonna build myself some door pods soon, its better if u do them yourself.

thats what i do if im ever unsure how to do summat or what its gunna turn out like i go to scrappy and buy what i need from there that way i dont bollox up my origional
