in the nova max power moding guide, they use a sorta metal alloy plate to put switches in then mount it in the center consol. i jus got me a center console, how do i fix it to the car? and wot is the alloy plate they use, where can i get sum?

Sounds like a home made job. Get a nice piece of metal / plastic and cut to fit the switches, and fix by screwing it to the center console.
As these are easily removed get a spare from a scrap car and work on that.

Or if your super lucky you will find a Nova with electric windows and this has a center console with a blank covering 2 mk2 shape switches :)

Does anyone know what these blanks were used for as the front fog lamp switch and rear wont fit in because of the T shape bit at the back of the switch. mk1 had heated seats blank!! mabey ....
