will a 400 watt do?

just wondereing if a 400 watt amp will do for my 200 watt base box and 300watt front speakers. my minidisc player also has an internal amp.

It would power them, be careful no to clip the amp though as the subs/speakers will blow in no time.

Personally ide use a bigger amp

Also, the MAX power figures dont really tell you much, you got the RMS power ratings? Go by them

clipping, basically sending the sub a distorted signal, will mess up the sub in no time. You should be able to hear it doing it though.

To be safe ide use a bigger amp, it wouldnt hurt using the one you have though providing its set up correctly
