Right i have aquired a Cavi 4x4 2.0 8v
It is written off but still goes. I want to make a nova 4x4. but it doesnt have to be done properly.
Putting engine is ok.
I will cut the nova floor away to get the propshaft though.

But the problem is mounting the rear axel.
Does anyone know anyone who has done this conversion before. remember this car wouldnt be for the road. just an experiment.

Any info would be gratefully accepted, and no this isnt one of my dodgy ideas......well it is :D !!

Thanks Slatter

Oh and ian if it does every get done.......... Ill race ya :p !!!!

Yeh, you`ll have to buy or have your driveshaft modified to fit as well + a lot of rear strenghening + the cav is loads wide so you`ve got a lot of moddin` ahead!

Having spent many an hour praying to god i have come up with a plan. get both cars road worthy or get a dodgy MOT tell you insurance company the you have moded both motas insure them fully comp and then.....
Park the nova in the middle of a road near a rozzer shop would be best then visit you local builder merchants and ask for a nice big red brick. start the engine of both cars. using the cav reverse approx 100yards away from the nova. then plop it in to first put your fav hymm on its big mudda sytem ya know! Then change into second apply the brick to the throtle pedal then gracefully exit the cav through the sunny and wait for an almighty big bang. Officers from the flange department will fly everywhere and search for information on how to do this conversion and you get enough money form the insurance to pay for a scoby RB5 or 22B before the insurance bill comes through. then move to brazil where you can live a life of a train robber for years.

Remember men of god are here to help not just to bone children.

If you go for wide arches, you won't have to narrow things as much, though it's going to be a hell of a task what ever, and how ever you do it.

It's been done to a few Astras, and 4x4 Cossie gear has been fitted in 205's and Escorts, so it should be able to be done....with the will (and money), there must be a way.
