Help with CALIBER RALLY CA2260 plz

Ok, i have a Caliber Rally CA-2260 amp and for some reason it cuts out at the same volume (17) every time on the CD player, no matter what db the amp is set at. Plz help.

the little calibre is a great value amp that has a lot of power for the money. but ideally it is for 6x9's. u running a sub? and on top of that maybe a high wattage sub? if you are the amp ain't strong enough. but basically it could be the usual mate and u need to check it all;
-wiring.
-faulty amp.
-too weak amp for sub.

I'm know for a fact that the amp isn't faulty, i am running a pair of 6x9s in the back and yes im running a sub.

The strange thing is the entire system worked fine, amp, sub and all before i had to send a faulty cd player back. i now have the exact same cd player but now the amp cuts out.
