cant see why twin 40s wont go on, would be interesting to see some on a 1.2, also i think a 32/34 will go on.

what kind of idiot would fit T40's on a 1.2......... oh hang on lol.

anything has to be better than the pierburg piece of crap that vaux in their infinite wisdom fitted.

hold your horses novafling.

You won't need to change the gearbox or anything else other than the inlet manifold, throttle cable and the actual carburettor.

The 32/34 DMTL will give you about 5-8bhp from the standard 1b1 pierburg. (You will need a 1300sr inlet manifold)

and the T40's will increse power by about 15bhp (seens you only got a standard exzhaust and cam).

32/34 you can get sorted for second hand about ?150-200 (u need a diff air filter, 1.2 won't fit).

T40's will be about ?200-300.

You could probably butcher a turbo from a R5GTT or maybe vaux diesel... but don't expect it to last long :P

Just go for the Weber 32/34 carb.
Its the best for around ?100.

Or you could try picking a 32/34DTML up from a scrappy dirt cheap (remove the weber tag, hehe  )... ebay quite often has them pop up and go for anything around ?30-75.

T40s you'll be looking at about ?200-250 second hand, or about ?600 new (carbs, manifold, alternator bracket). Of course to get the best out of both you'd be advised to spend a few extra quid on a RR setup.

Deffo check ebay, some bargains go on there,

wot carbs can u fit on a 1ltr then??

next to none.

the 1.0 carb and engine is not as tunable or worth while trying.

Be cheaper to get a 1.3sr engine for ?50 and stick in there.
